"I warned you, Jeremy!" + a small personal / community update

• I plan to remake the big WEBCOMIX list one of these times, adding this and others. Seriously, it’s pretty cool how much nice stuff there is to read, free online. And for the foreign-language stuff in particular, Google Lens on smartphone works very nicely to quickly translate by aiming the camera at any unknown text.
• Me, I’ve lately been pretty busy getting all my data & such migrated to the new Win11 system, which also included setting up the new hardware and creating some custom physical solutions, such as a rolling, swiveling monitor arm that nestles next to my bed-couch. As I gushed about previously, this new system is going to make it much easier for me to get stuff done, i.e. reading more material and creating content & whatnot.
• Upcoming is a post I’m trying to put together, showing off Brüno’s new Lucky Luke album “Dakota 1880,” which came out in early August, I think. I’ve got some early pages, but they need some work. He tends to draw very clean, minimalist art, which I like perfectly well, but I’m frankly not sure how well that will work out for a series which traditionally depicts very expressive characters…
• Aaand I’ve got a big, annual apartment inspection coming up soon, so I’ve been busting it these days, trying to get things around here ‘spic & span.’ With my CFS/ME, such work tends to render me extra exhausted, hence not so many posts from me, recently. (big thanks to @FauxPseudo@lemmy.world for the recent shares, here)
