Mission info

Nusantara Lima (a.k.a Nusantara 5, SNL) is an Indonesian high-throughput telecommunications satellite to operate in Geostationary orbit as a replacement for Nusantara-2, which failed to reach orbit on a CZ-3B in 2020. It will deliver high-capacity connectivity for PSN users across Indonesia’s over 17,000 islands and neighboring nations. The SNL communications payload, which flies aboard Boeing’s proven 702MP platform, can provide more than 160 Gbps of capacity, supporting broadband internet access and essential communications services throughout Indonesia and Southeast Asian markets.

SNL features advanced payload processing, allowing PSN to dynamically direct its powerful internet and communications capacity to where it’s needed most, whether that’s a busy city, a remote village, or in rapid response to an area affected by a natural disaster. For Indonesians, this means faster and more reliable connectivity, even as demand shifts across the country’s thousands of islands.
