GeorgeI'm not sure if “Left Wordle” is correct. There are several Wordle games, so which one is being abandoned? Then it should be called “Left NYT Wordle”.
Perhaps it would be a good idea to hold a poll on suggested names in a while?!

@Xorky I asked the question a couple of days ago offering several suggestions. I got very little engagement, but those that responded unanimously liked Left Wordle the best.
And while your certainly correct that there are other versions of Wordle that ppl may or may not have left, I regard NYT as the canonical Wordle, THE Wordle, if you will.
Left Wordle, though not perfect by any stretch, does uniquely identify this Wordle, which is the main purpose.

I do regard this as OUR Wordle and I certainly don’t want to dictate. I think important decisions should be driven by consensus, which is why I asked before making the change.
If there is consensus that the name should be different / better I’m happy to change. That change will be more difficult but not impossible to implement seamlessly.

I know you asked for names. I think that over time, once all the bugs have been ironed out—if there are any left—and people have played with this alternative Wordle a bit more, perhaps a nice community name can be chosen. In my opinion, OUR Wordle could fit the bill. Wordle belongs to everyone, so it belongs to “us.” For me, this name is not set in stone. Other names will probably be suggested as well. But I think we should just wait and see...

I’m quite certain there are bugs left - there always are.
I have some features I'd like to add as well, which will, lead to some new bugs.
A feature I’m actively working on is the ability to save stats and continue streaks on different devices. This one's important to me because I always solve on my laptop at home, but when I travel I usually solve on my iPad or iPhone. It will almost certainly involve a optional login to track across devices.
