What happens to the guyβs head when the turret turns left?
Looks like itβll turn just past behind him.
It really looked as if it wonβt.
Guess itβs just the camera angle.
The tank looks much shorter (length) than in the diagrams too.

In the lower-left image, you can see that the turret rotates well behind the two, circular forward hatches. And of course, the main gun is well above the lookoutβs head.

Thatβs a LOT of gun. I just love those post-ww2 heavy tanks with their absurd proportions

Oh well, Iβm happy to have added a little more context to the diagram, FWIW.
Long telephoto lenses flatten the image on the Z axis.
The turret ring is WAY in front, so it basically rotates right along the edge, not bringing it forward much at all.
