What happens to the guy’s head when the turret turns left?

It really looked as if it won’t.
Guess it’s just the camera angle.
The tank looks much shorter (length) than in the diagrams too.

In the lower-left image, you can see that the turret rotates well behind the two, circular forward hatches. And of course, the main gun is well above the lookout’s head.

That’s a LOT of gun. I just love those post-ww2 heavy tanks with their absurd proportions




Long telephoto lenses flatten the image on the Z axis.


The turret ring is WAY in front, so it basically rotates right along the edge, not bringing it forward much at all.
