Explanation: While it is a little funny to dab on one of the two superpowers of the Cold War being kicked out of a country by plucky guerillas, the popular notion that the USA in the Vietnam War was defeated by the irregulars of the Viet Cong is largely inaccurate. The Viet Cong were certainly contributors to the war effort, but the largely professional and conventional (if innovative and flexible) formal army of North Vietnam did most of the heavy lifting of the war.
