Cautiously optimistic, but I’ll be curious to see how much AI slop they use to make this.

I can’t imagine that the Infinity Engine is still kicking around, but I’m a huge fan of old school RPGs and KOTOR 1/2 are some my all time time favorite games. I can’t wait!

Wait, hold on. Remember the Other games. Don’t preorder. Do NOT preorder.

Lol, I promise I’m not that excited. I’m the proud owner of both RimWorld and Factorio and have plenty of games in my backlog, there’s no real reason to pre-order games from studios that have a multi-billion dollar company backing them (a couple bucks gamble to an Indy dev on Kickstarter is a different story, but we’re not talking about that right now).

Jason Schreier reporting that this game is coming from a brand new studio that only just formed, and he’s not expecting this game to come out until 2030. Me? I think this game never comes out.

2030? Seems somewhat early to start promotional activities…

That being said, it seems the leadership of the studio has the relevant experience for a good RPG.

The reason I understand you’d do a promotion for a project this early, much like with Cyberpunk 2077 getting announced in like 2012, is to put up a giant “Help Wanted” sign to help you in putting the team together.

I hope they take cues from BG3.

I hope this doesn’t suck. It’s probably going to suck.
